Why We Play

The Minnesota State High School League requires our School Board to review the “Why We Play” training video, which defines the purpose of education-based athletic and activity programs and will assist school communities in communicating a shared common language as it relates to the value of these said programs, prior to approving the 2019-20 Resolution for Membership.

Join a Team

Physicals

A current physical must be on file with the Activities Office and entered into the FeePay system before families will be able to register a student for any activity that requires this form. Physicals are considered current for 3 years and must not expire during the season for which the registration is being made. Families may check the status of their child's physical date in Skyward Family Access under Health. New physical information. Completed physical forms may be submitted to the activities office at South via email to tomilee.reinhardt@isd624.org or fax to 651-773-6275. The MSHSL Sports Qualifying Physical Form can be found here.

Registration for Athletics and Activities

 

Accounts must be clear of Fees and Holds:

All Fees and Holds must be cleared from the FeePay account before families will be able to register a student for any activity.  Fees can be found on the Activities page in FeePay near the top under a separate tab (look for a red circle with a number inside). Simply add the Fee to your cart and proceed to checkout as usual.  Once paid, the Hold should come off automatically.

 

Free or Reduced qualified:

Before reduced pricing will appear in FeePay, families need to have applied for and been awarded Free or Reduced status for the upcoming school year. Please allow up to 10 days for this process to be complete once you have submitted your application. More information and the online application are available through the Nutrition Services page on the district website.

 

FeePay signup:

On the Activities page of FeePay, select the activity(ies) desired, complete the MSHSL questionnaire if it pops up, and proceed through checkout as usual.  Note: if nothing appears in your cart when you click on the icon, click on View Your Cart and items should populate. MSHSL forms must be completed and payment must be made before students will be allowed to tryout or participate in any way.  Refunds will be issued promptly for those who do not make the final roster.   Following is the registration link for FeePay:

Transportation Information

Students traveling to/from after school events are expected to ride the bus if one is provided by the District.  In extenuating circumstances, parents can transport their child to/from the event by sending a detailed request by e-mail to their coach.  If parents are requesting that their child be transported to/from an event by another adult, then the Parent Release form must be completed and returned to the Activities Director before permission can  be granted.  In situations where the District is providing transportation, students are not permitted to drive themselves to that specific event. Shuttle Bus; North to South Campus / YMCA

All student athletes riding the after school shuttle bus will need to see Mrs. Muckala in the Activities Office at North Campus, bring your student ID card to receive a bus sticker.

WBLAHS Athletic Eligibility Requirements

All student-participants in MSHSL sanctioned activities must meet the required number of credits each semester to be declared academically eligible. Those student-participants who do not meet the minimum credit requirements will be declared academically ineligible in accordance with MSHSL Bylaw 108.  (Eligibility Document)
