Two groups of high school seniors were honored for their commitment to furthering their education and playing sports at their chosen college or university. The ceremonies were captured in a video issue of the district's The Week in 62.4 Seconds.
The 2024 graduation rate at White Bear Lake Area High School* is 96.5%, topping the state rate by 12.3 percentage points and up three percentage points from last year, in data released today by the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE).
District data, which includes students from WBLAHS along with students from the district’s Area Learning Center (ALC) and Transition Education Center (TEC) programs, shows a 91.6% four-year graduation rate for the class of 2024. This exceeds the state’s graduation rate by 7.4 percentage points.
High school students in the Education Pathways program are gaining new skills outside the classroom.
