Schools closed through March 27

PLEASE NOTE - This update is no longer current. Please find the most current Distance Learning update here.

White Bear Lake Area Schools and programs will remain closed through Friday, March 27, following Governor Walz’s direction in closing all schools and instruction in the state for the next two weeks. Instruction is expected to begin again state-wide on Monday, March 30, potentially through distance learning in our district.

Between March 16 and March 27, we will create plans for distance learning that work for our entire community. Our educators will be giving thoughtful planning to our distance learning plan, offering careful consideration for students in a variety of areas, including those families who do not have access to technology, students receiving special education services, multilingual learners, students experiencing homelessness, and students who rely on meals served at school.

We will be communicating directly with families via email, with additional information and resources posted on the district’s website.

We appreciate your patience and flexibility as we navigate the rapidly-evolving situation surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

Thank you,

Dr. Wayne A. Kazmierczak
Superintendent of White Bear Lake Area Schools
