Celebrating Student-athletes

Six WBLAHS student-athletes participated in a spring National Signing Day event this week at WBLAHS - South Campus. 

The exciting event centers around student-athletes officially committing to an NCAA Division I or Division II school by signing a letter of intent to play for a sports team at their chosen university or college. In total this school year, 16 students have signed NLI's. The student-athletes who attended the event (pictured in the top photo from left to right) include:

Lucy Borofka - Swimming at Dordt University
Kylie Gustafson - Volleyball at Upper Iowa University
Ivory Drusch - Golf at Adelphi University
Zoe Timmons - Hockey at Minot State University
Connor Podewils - Lacrosse at Quincy University
Georgia Kodytek - Lacrosse at Lewis University

Also celebrated this week were 13 WBLAHS student-athletes who have committed to play a sport(s) at their chosen Division III university or college. Those who were able to attend the event (pictured in the bottom photo from left to right) include:

Luke Williams - Cross Country at UW-Eau Claire
Anthony Turner - Basketball at Hibbing Community College
Autumn Maki - Soccer and Track and Field at Bethel University
Bella Kuyava - Lacrosse at Carthage College
Zach Carnes - Wrestling at Concordia-Moorhead
Ava Heimbach - Swimming at Gustavus Adolphus College
