WBLAHS Seniors Honored by American Indian Education Program

The American Indian Education Program honored four White Bear Lake Area High School seniors during a powwow event, which was highlighted by the White Bear Press

Surrounded by friends, family, and district leaders, students were celebrated for their many achievements. They were presented with a blanket ceremony during which their families came up and wrapped them in a star quilt. Students were also gifted an eagle feather, books and four sacred medicines.

Red Lake singers joined the celebration to drum for attendees and one graduating senior, Hezazac Adams, preformed a spotlight grass dance.
