Course Number: HS2710

This course is an introduction to architectural design. Students will design their own home based on a location they choose. Course content will focus mainly on residential design but will also make connections to commercial architectural design requirements. Students will be working with computer aided design software to develop concepts and present design solutions for class assignments. Using real-time modeling software, students will develop an increased visual perception and understanding of designs through 2-D and 3-D formats. Students will also create a ¼ scale model of their design. Student portfolios will be used to present and evaluate coursework.
