This advanced course is designed for students interested in pursuing any careers involving children (education, childcare, or child psychology, child protection and advocacy, research, pediatric medicine, etc.). The course will provide a blend of academic study and practical experience. As a critical component of the course, students will participate in service learning opportunities within the community--enjoying approximately 35 hours in a local classroom or childcare setting. Students will work and learn under the guidance of experienced educators and childcare professionals. Students will also complete an online curriculum discovering a career they will love. This flexible course format allows students to work independently at their own pace, accommodating diverse schedules and learning styles.
