DECA

DECA is a competitive extracurricular organization that prepares students for careers in business, marketing, finance, and hospitality. It provides students with the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to real-world situations through role-playing competitions, case studies, and leadership development activities. DECA members gain valuable skills such as public speaking, problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork.

In this course students will be required to be active DECA participants, competing in outside events against other DECA chapters through varying levels of competition (district, state, nationals if qualified). Students will be able to utilize classroom time to learn advanced content in the business marketing world as well as prepare and practice for DECA events. Students will also be required to work in the school store (ROAR Store).
