Introduction to Healthcare Careers A/B - HSCI 1000

Students have the opportunity to earn three college credits through concurrent enrollment with Century College. The course is designed for students interested in exploring various careers in the healthcare industry, e.g., dental assisting/hygiene, diagnostic imaging, emergency medical services, medical assisting, medical office careers, orthotics and prosthetics, nursing, and other allied health fields. It is an overview of how healthcare is delivered in the United States. This course will give students an opportunity to explore their future in the healthcare industry. Class experiences include an in-depth career research project of your choice, opportunities to listen and talk to a variety of healthcare professionals, and field trips to Century College and other healthcare facilities.
