Sewing and Fashion

Students in this class will explore the world of fashion, design, clothing, and sewing. This course begins with studying the principles and elements of design, fashion cycles and history, and fashion designers before moving into sewing terms and techniques. In our sewing labs, students will complete a combination of assigned and self-selected sewing projects that will strengthen their technical reading and sewing construction skills. This course provides students with the unique opportunity to combine creative expression, career exploration, and hands-on project construction.
